Episode 10 - Chris Mcvey

Episode 10!  It is a big week for The Sisyphus Effect Podcast.  When I started this podcast, I never thought I would be able to find ten people who would actually want to talk to me for hours at a time, let alone be able to edit the conversations into interesting podcasts. It has been a fun journey so far and I hope that all of you will continue to listen and perhaps share the shows with friends.

This week on the podcast, I interview one of my best friends, Dr. Chris McVey.  As a recent graduate/father/employed person, Chris has a lot to say about life and death.  In this podcast, we talk about the dead dad club and how our father's deaths at relatively young ages have effected the way that we view the world. For those of you who have or are thinking about having children, Chris discusses how the birth of his son has changed the way that he navigates the world.   Dr McVey is a recent PhD in English Literature and therefore will analyze the hell out of every topic we bring up.    This is a powerful show.   Check it out.

"Sean!?!  Where did all of the old episodes go!?!?   Your site is broken! I am never listening again because you are stupid!"

As a fledgling podcast, I do not have the storage space yet to keep all of the episodes up at the same time.  I would have to pay cash moneys for that, so that will come later down the line.  If you would like to get a hold of an older podcast, send me a message and I will e-mail it over.

We are working on establishing a real website and a logo soon.   If you would like to give suggestions, please let me know.

Episode 9 - Nick Stroup

Gentleman...START YOUR ENGINES!

Life continues to be busy, so I will keep this extra short this week.  I am proud that I have managed to get to episode number 9 and I hope to continue through my busy summer.  I love to hear lots of encouragement, so go ahead and comment on my posts or follow us on Facebook and/or Twitter.

I am starting to have to pull down old episodes because of space issues.  So, if you want to listen to the older shows, please send an e-mail or a tweet my way.  If you would like to donate to the show in order for episodes to stay up longer, just contact me and we can set something up.

This week on the podcast we have my friend Nick Stroup.  The conversation starts with a brief discussion about being young in the DC area and drifts into the drag world.  Nick tells us about his experiences attending drag events in the area and how he views the art form.

Of course any conversation about drag will eventually lead you to Rupaul's Drag Race, so we spend some time talking about how popular culture is shifting the potential effects of the show.   Also, I am asked if I would ever dress up in drag!  Escandalo!

If you are new to the drag world, Nick defines several terms like "shade" and "fishy".  Honey, be ready for an education!
